Check out the local attractions and plan an active vacation
#1 Coastal Dunes
The seaside location of Shellter Hotel & Apartments offers an opportunity to experience the diversity of nature. On your way to the seafront, you can admire two dune formations – white and grey, with their unique seashore vegetation. In addition to rare species of grass, the dunes provide a habitat for black crowberry (this is why the local woods are called crowberry forests), European honeysuckle, Swedish whitebeam and sand sedge.
The dunes’ names come naturally from the colour of their sand. The white dune is slightly younger with brighter sand and somewhat more sparse vegetation. Sea lyme grass and European beachgrass can mainly be found there. A wide beach stretches out near the white dune. The grey dune, with a layer of soil that makes its sand appear greyish, abounds with a richer variety of plant species, including delicate sand willow and dark-red helleborine from the Orchidaceae family.

The unique location of our resort near a river, a lake and the sea offers attractions for expert sports enthusiasts looking for extreme experiences as well as for those who would like to try their water skills for the first time.
The nearby Resko Przymorskie Lake gives you plenty of space for sailing. Sailing boats, kayaks and windsurfing equipment are available for rent at the local marina. You can enjoy canoeing trips on the Rega River. Windsurfing or kitesurfing can be practiced on the sea.
Those who seek only sightseeing experiences and like keeping their feet dry will also find ample attractions. The port in Dźwirzyno is located on an artificial canal linking Resko Przymorskie and the Baltic. It is a mooring place for ships offering cruises on the Baltic Sea and for fishing boats as well.
#4 Fishing
It is heaven for sea and lake anglers. In the nearby Dźwirzyno, you can embark on a ten- or twelve-hour sea fishing trip organised by real enthusiasts. This will give you the opportunity to beat your angling record. And for those who are just starting out on their angling adventure, this is the chance to have your skills honed under the watchful eye of professionals. Crew members will be happy to introduce newbies to sea fishing and to offer them expert advice.
#5 Historic monuments and architecture
A number of local attractions are worthy of note because they can make your stay at this picturesque place an even more striking experience. If local sightseeing is what you are looking for, you can explore Rogowo more closely or visit Kołobrzeg.
An undoubted attraction of Rogowo is “Fort Rogowo”, a military compound predating World War Two. While the complex is no longer used by the armed forces, a military history buff will surely find it appealing. You may visit an exhibition there, where historic aeroplanes are the main attraction.
A trip to Kołobrzeg resort can be a pleasing addition to the calming tranquillity of Rogowo. The resort offers an abundance of seasonal activities, festivals or concerts as well as other typical tourist attractions. Interesting architecture and the spectacular pier are worth seeing in the centre of Kołobrzeg.
